Sliding Gallery

This example displays 4 sliding images and information per page.

Page numbers are generated according to the number of images per page.

The number of images are up to the user, of course the image, size does play a role.

The detail information underneath is easy to expand.

Display a larger image, link to a form to get a price request etc.

Sortable Gallery

This example is sortable on every column.

The resulting image and other details are displayed underneath.

Although no page numbers are shown, in a real situation this would be a must.

There is plenty of room to add other details...

  • Artist / photographer.
  • Price or price request.
  • Shipping.

In fact you could add (within reason) as much as you would like to tell.

Selectable Gallery

This example shows how you could display your main data and then allow the user to select according to paging.

Sorting is still available by clicking the header columns... except when you filter on Categories (they are all the same - for demo purposes only).

However, the 'Filter' option allows users more interactive control.

Imagine you had hundreds of items, then this option would drill down to where your users want to be.

And just for information, it's possible to set up more complex filters.

Gallerys

Gallerys, the way to present your photo's is one of the most used types of page to present images and related information. The number of ways to do this are many - using tables and more sophiscated methods.

Below are 3 different methods, the Sliding and Sortable examples are using the same XML file as input. The Selectable Gallery is also an XML file, that has been slightly modified to suit the output. Hopefully these will give you some ideas of what you can acheive depending on your own Flexible idea's.
